This home is located on a hill and while under a major remodel they noticed that there was water wicking through the soil downhill into there crawlspace making it damp and moist. The homeowner hired us to fix this problem by sealing his crawlspace. By sealing the crawlspace we are able to protect the underneath of the house and the HVAC system in the home. Plus it added to the value of the home!
This homeowner had noticed a musty moldy smell coming from their crawl space. So they decided to investigate, they crawled into the crawl space and found evidence of mold and a couple puddles of water. They were concerned about how this could be impacting their health so they called a plumbing company to come out and take a look. The plumbers found no broken pipes or problems with the plumbing so they recommended the homeowners call us at Clean CrawlSpace Inc. We sent out one of our moisture control specialist to perform a free inspection. We found mold growth due to high humidity. The humidity is caused by the water and warmth of the crawl space. To fix this our moisture control specialist recommended full crawl space encapsulation. The homeowners were excited to solve this issue so they decided to go ahead with our moisture control specialist recommendations. In these pictures, you can see the steps we take to encapsulate. In the before you see our trenching for proper drainage to the sump pump and the sump pump installed. Then we seal it all with the CleanSpace Encapsulation system!
The homeowners started the process of remodeling the home to make it more livable and increase the value. They were having the HVAC of the home looked at and fixed up.
