Timothy C's home in Stinson Beach, CA, experienced significant damage from a powerful storm, leading to a flooded crawlspace. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, Timothy contacted Clean Crawlspace, a professional team specializing in handling such challenges. Upon arrival, the experts quickly assessed the damage and devised a comprehensive plan.
Their first step involved removing the damaged crawl space insulation and using a HEPA-negative air vacuum to contain any harmful particles. To prevent future flooding, they installed a SmartSump pump water system with an airtight lid and WaterWatch alarm system. Trenches filled with rocks and perforated pipes were dug to guide any potential water seepage towards the sump system, and drainage matting was incorporated for efficient water management. Additionally, the team implemented the highly efficient CleanSpace® Crawl Space Vapor Barrier system, creating a sealed barrier to prevent moisture and inhibit the growth of mold and mildew.
As a final touch, new insulation was inserted and the subfloor was sealed using expanding foam and other materials to ensure an airtight environment.
