Although there was standing water for a couple of weeks, it has drained since then but is still extremely wet and muddy. Our crawl space floods, and the problem is that the water doesn't flow to a single low spot, there are a ton of puddles, some more serious than others. I'm looking to get an estimate for trench work to be done to make the water pool into one spot and for plastic to be installed after. I am potentially interested in a sump pump as well, but it depends on the price.

System of sump pump seems to be working. Today is the first day of rain and it has been raining for about 9 hours. I checked what I could in the crawl space and it looks dry so far. The pump is quiet and I can tell the difference from the old one. This one seems to pump more often for shorter periods. May be keeping up better than the old one. Time will tell Hope it keeps working this well over periods of heavy rain
